93 / Bodega Weinert / Cavas de Weinert 2000 / $36
From select vineyards in Lujan de Cuyo, this blend of malbec, cabernet sauvignon and merlot is one of the brightest, clearest examples of Weinert's style.
It's earthy and firm with coffee and cinnamon aromas and tense tannins, yet at the same time radiant with juicy red fruit, gentle and refined.
It has a long life ahead, although it's enjoyable now with roast quail.

92 / Bodega Weinert / Weinert Malbec 2002/ $23
Dusty and mineral, fruity and meaty, this malbec is full of complexity and charm. Its structure is built on luscious tannin and refreshing acidity that enhance
its dry cinnamon and cherry flavors. With time, a foresty, animal character emerges alongside the fresh red fruit.
